Samosa Spring Roll

Potatoes, Peas, Spices, and Fried. Is your mouth watering yet? If so, you have to check out my fusion of delicious, airy potato Samosa blended with crunchy and savory spring rolls. It’s the perfect blend, and will definitely be a hit at your next party. Who wants to carry around a huge samosa that falls all over the place? No one. This small, hand held roll is the perfect bite sized piece of heaven.


Ingredients:

-12 uncooked flour tortillas

-1 cup frozen organic peas

-4 potatoes

-3 tsp cumin seeds

-3 tsp ginger

-3 tsp green chili

-1 small onion

-2 tsp dhaniya (ground coriander seeds)

-2 tsp red chili powder

-2 tsp amchur (dried mango powder)

-2 tsp chaat masala

-salt to taste


Directions:

-Boil potatoes, allow to cook and mash (set aside)

-In a pan, add some cumin seeds to oil until they sputter

-add ginger, jalapeños, and onion until golden brown

-add dhaniya powder, red chili powder, amchur, and chaat masala; sauté for 2 minutes until fragrant

-add peas and potatoes, blend until mixed well

-cut uncooked flour into small circles

-place samosa mixture into circles, place one corner so it’s completely wrapped up to the top and fold sides in

-heat oil to 350• and then place spring roll in heated oil, fry for 2 minutes until golden brown and then flip

-Enjoy!!!
