Guava, Honey & Rose Lassi


Summer is officially here, and if you’ve been looking for the perfect (and delicious) way to cool down— look no further! This creamy, smooth, and sweet drink is one that will have you saying “ahhhhh” after every sip.


Lassi is an Indian, yogurt based smoothie, and can be made either sweet or savory. Usually the savory lassis are made with cumin, salt, and chaat masala. In India, this drink is usually enjoyed in the afternoon, right before that perfect nap. Yogurt, as many diary products do, contains tryptophan, which your body converts it into two hormones, serotonin and melatonin. These two hormones promote sleep, which will having you wake up feeling refreshed! Please try this out and enjoy.

Ingredients for Lassi:

  1. 1 1/2 cups nonfat plain yogurt

  2. 1 cup of ice

  3. 1 tbsp of honey (or agave if making for younger Kids)

  4. 1 pinch cardamom

  5. 2 tsp rose water

  6. 1 cup frozen Deep Guava slices

  7. 1 tsp granulated or powder sugar

Instructions:

  1. Throw all ingredients into a blender and Blend until well combined and ice Blended well (about 1 minute)

  2. Pour into glass, and Drink immediately while cold
