Yup, you read that right. For those who many not be familiar, Gulab Jamun are sweet, saffron, rose, and cardamom soaked milk balls. It is one of the most well known Indian desserts around the world. Another well known and famous dessert of course, is the Donut. Why not combine the two for a delicious and perfect fusion dessert.
This decadent version of the beloved donut is delicious, baked, and easy to make. Finally, topped with a rose and saffron blossomed glaze, is my idea of bliss and pairs perfectly with the moist gulab Jamun donut.

Once out of the oven, poke holes into donuts, and pour syrup all over warm donuts (do while warm so it soaks in evenly)!
For glaze: heat milk and add saffron and allow it to blossom. Then allow milk to cool.
While donuts are cooling, mix together powder sugar, cooled saffron milk, rose water, and cardamom
