Ingredients:
2 tbsp butter
1 tsp smoked paprika
1/4 cup full fat yogurt
1 lb large shrimp (peeled and deveined)
1 cup of chopped onion
3 minced garlic cloves
3 tbsp ginger grated
1 tsp of Garam masala
1/2 tsp dhaniya (coriander) powder
1 tsp cumin powder
1/4 tsp red chili flakes
3/4 cup water
4 tbsp tomato paste
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp sugar
1/2 cup heavy cream
1 yellow Bell pepper chopped
Instructions:
In a medium bowl, add yogurt and spices to create marinade. Add shrimp, cover and put in fridge while making sauce. (At least 1 hour).
Melt Butter in medium skillet on low flame, and add chopped onions until caramelized. Add garlic and ginger-cook until fragrant. Add bell peppers and cook until slightly soft.
Add water and tomato paste, and bring to a boil. Then remove from heat.
Whisk in heavy cream; careful not to allow to clump. Return to stove, add shrimp, and entire marinade.
Season with salt and pepper, garnish with cilantro, and serve hot.
Serve with naan or steaming hot rice for best flavor.
